If you are looking for a truly cosmopolitan
city then London is it. The seemingly endless famous attractions
and activities can keep you entertained for weeks.
If art
is your thing then head to Trafalgar Square, an attraction in
itself, where the National Gallery resides.Just one of the many
popular attractions for visitors is the Trocadero. Located on
Leicester Square this mutli-storey arcade will keep you and your
family amused for hours on end. There are hundreds of games to
try out along with pool tables and bowling lanes. If art is your
thing then head to Trafalgar Square, an attraction in itself,
where the National Gallery resides. Exhibits include many
masterpieces of Da Vinci, and Michelangelo. For a journey 500
years into the future and space check out the London Planetarium.
One of London’s most famous landmarks is Big Ben, an
enormous clock tower that stands impressively by the Thames. Take
a relaxing stroll through the gardens that lead up to Buckingham
Palace and watch the changing of the guard. For a spectacular
view of the city hop on the London Eye, a massive, slow Ferris
wheel where you can get a 25-mile panoramic view of the city.
The nightlife includes renowned restaurants presenting
the cuisine of many cultures, huge nightclubs and busy pubs.
Leicester Square comes highly recommended. Here you will find the
city’s top theatres and their famous shows and if your
lucky you may be in town to see the stars going into the latest
premiere.
London is certainly a shopper’s
paradise. There are many excellent markets and shopping districts
including Covent Garden, Oxford Street and for those of you with
more expensive tastes why not treat yourself on Bond Street.
